The chart and the card
When you read a chart, the name, species and date go into the page address so you can share or bookmark it, and the calculation runs in your browser. The photo you add is read by your browser to draw the card. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else. It is kept in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab.
Email sign ups
If you sign up for reminders or the weekly horoscope, we store your email address, your pet’s name, species, birthday (or the date you gave), the kind of date, the lists you chose, whether you ticked the separate marketing box, and the time and wording of each consent. We use it only to send what you asked for. We ask you to confirm by email before anything else is sent.
Marketing emails (offers on pet products we may earn a commission on, and our own products) are only sent if you tick that separate box, and you can say no to them at any time without losing your reminders.
Every email has a one click unsubscribe. To have your details deleted entirely, email hello@signsandskies.com from the address you signed up with.
Who handles the data
Sign ups are stored in a hosted database and emails are sent through an email delivery service, both acting on our behalf. We do not sell or share your details.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no advertising cookies. It counts page views with a privacy friendly analytics service from our host that sets no cookies and does not identify you. It remembers small conveniences, like your last chart, in your own browser.
